Construction Season is Alive and Well

Our fine city of Toronto in its infinite wisdom, has decided that it is necessary to rip up my entire street and revive it for the second year in a row.

This is just what I need.....yet another summer of waking up to jackhammering. Can we finally move the stupid make-work projects to another part of the damn city for once?

Bring Back the Keytar

A friend of mine told me that when in Croatia he witnessed a crowed of about two hundred people rocking out to an Iron Maiden show from 87 that was being played on a twenty inch TV. People were getting into it and calling out songs for the band to play.......that strikes me as a little counter-productive as the show was about fifteen years ago, but oh well, who am I to judge, eh?

I never believed him until I saw this resent Croatian export that fills me with the sense that people in eastern Europe will listen to just about anything.

If anything just watch the video.....it includes the best (the only maybe) Keytar humping session that I've ever seen.

How To destroy the Earth

Well it looks like someone came out with the "How to destroy the Earth" manual ahead of me. This is what happens when you don't file for copywrite.

The mini black hole was a nice touch by the way.

Shut Up and Sell Something

Today was the massive install day from hell. It's amazing that the more skilled you are the more time you end up crawling around on the floor and getting asked by sales people why it is that some guy is getting a flat panel monitor and they're not. C'mon people, get a grip. Go sell shit for god sake, that IS what you’re paid for isn't it? I mean, Christ, I can't get over this. One person actually said, "I've been here for ten years and this is how I'm treated". HOLLY CRAP! If you value your existence based on a standard issue Dell 15' monitor, I'd hate to see how demanding and bitchy you would be in real life.

Ah, The Biker Channel

It's odd. I've had a surprisingly calm day. Yes it was still full of rampant morons, but they seemed to have gone up a small notch in intelligence today.

As I flip through the slew of garbage TV right now, I can't help but state the brutally obvious fact the Learning Channel has slowly turned into the biker channel, much in the same way that Fox has made their smooth transition to soft-core porn. I mean really....who the hell in their right mind can watch something in the region of 9 hours of some dude building choppers? I must admit that when the show debuted I did find it entertaining, but one can’t live on a steady diet of some guy welding things together alone.

This just means I have to shell out for Discovery Civilization doesn't it? Bah.

So It Begins

So it begins. I have finally decided to make my musings on various crap available to all who feel like reading it. I figure I'll try my best to hit the majority of topics that piss me off, as well as to provide a little insight into some of the better things going on with me and in the city in general.

Well that's it for the intro I guess.....short and sweet. Let's get to it.
